About Scott Anderson

The world is big and offers the photographer a dazzling array of potential photographs. The rural or backroads form a web of trails that help stitch our province and country together. They provide opportunities to explore areas, offering less complicated and simpler spaces, where the patterns and rhythms in nature that I like to photograph are easier to see. Many of the pictures I take, I do as a solitary figure by a swamp, in the bush, on the shore of a pond or lake or along a backroad. The camera allows me the capture the momentary and fleeting images of nature as they weave and flow into something new. My pictures offer a glimpse of those moments that help make the world special, but for different reasons may go unnoticed.
